Event 30 - Fine Arts

Themes

Cat A: The Land of Fantasy

You are required to draw the Land of Fantasy with the emphasis on the set and ambient of the surroundings.

Cat B: The Aves/Insecta (Character drawing)

You are required to choose a species of birds or insects and transform it into a character in a movie/play. Emphasis should be placed on the characteristics of the species that you choose. For example, a butterfly should have 6 legs and a pair of wings. The correct choice of colours and patterns will add spirit into the character being developed.

*Specific Rules:
--Open to ALL students.
--Media: poster colour, oil pastel, acrylic.
--Size: A3 drawing block paper.
--It has to be manually drawn using any methods or materials.
--Design of the poster must be original and creative that symbolizes the theme.
--Students are not allowed to fold the paper.
--Name, class and date must be written behind the cardboard. Entries without details of the participant are invalid.
-- Each class is allowed to send in as many entries as possible.
--Submission date will be on the 31st of March(Thursday).
--Teacher -in-charge is Mr.Pang.
--Participants must send their posters to Kah Mee from 5 Edison.

T-shirt Design

This year, we are introducing a new event under the Fine Arts discipline,i.e. T-shirt design. This event is only open for students of Category B. The objective for this competition is to create a digital design that will be printed as the Performance Club T-shirt for sales.

Every participants can only submit one design produced digitally.
All designs must be print-ready, and created using a scalable vector graphics (SVG) programme such as Adobe illustrator or Inkscape (an open-source SVG program).
All designs should be in colour.
The image should be designed to be printed on the front and back of the collar T-Shirt and fitted within an A4 size paper.
The design should have collar and not cover the sleeves or the seams.
Each class is allowed to send in as many entries as possible.
Submission date will be on the 31st of March(Thursday).
Participants must send their designs to Kah Mee from 5 Edison.

You're free to be as abstract as you'd like. Our top priority is to find a great shirt design. Be creative and have fun!
