Choral Speaking Event Details!
You may still sign up/register for the Choral Speaking Event next Monday or Tuesday with Yong Zheng Xi (5 Columbus) Details:-
Competition date: 30 March 2011.
Handing in of script must be done at least 10 days before Competition Date. (20 March 2011)
Rules and regulations:-
Each team must have AT LEAST 15 participants (including conductor) (NO maximum limit)
Each participant MUST be part of the whole chorus but may also present one or more individual roles.
All participants must be from the same class and wear the school uniforms.
Participants have to perform from memory, no notes or cue cards will be allowed. However, the conductor will be allowed to use a copy of the text with directions incorporated.
Actions and gestures may be used to create an interesting presentation. However, participants are not allowed to move from their places. All actions incorporated must be from the waist upwards only.
Sound effects may be used, but these must be made by the participants themselves, without the use of any instruments.
There should be no singing.
No costumes or props allowed.
Presentation should not exceed the time limit stated. A bell will be rung once at 4:30 seconds and twice at 5 minutes. If the presentation exceeds the time limit stated, the team will be penalized.
