Paramount Championship is an interclass competition to test the students in a great magnitude of disciplines ranging from academic events to stage performances in order to provide a platform for all Sri KDU Secondary School students to showcase their creativity and talents. In addition, this is also one signiture annual school event that helps promote class unity while allowing the building of positive rapport among the students, and between the students and their homeroom teachers. 1. The Paramount Championship Grand Finals will be held on the 29 June for Category A and 30 June for Category B for the year 2011.

Registration of Events
Students that are interested to join in any events of PC 2011 are required to inform their respective events director. The events director will then do the registration with the crew.
There will be 2 sessions for the events director to do the registration:
14th January 2011 (Friday)
21th January 2011 (Friday)
Both sessions will be held in the function room 2 at 9.40am. Event directors are required to go to the function room 2 to register for their classmates.
Please take note that events held in January MUST be registered this Friday (14th January).
Events held in January includes:
- Chinese Chess Cat A & B
- Culinary Main Course Cat A
- English Solo Singing Cat A & B
- Mandarin Public Speaking Cat A & B
- Syarahan Cat A & B
- Modern Dancing Cat A & B
For the Calligraphy event, Please register it by this Wednesday ( 12th January) to Teh Xin Er of 5Aristotle at 9.40am.
Any late registrations will not be entertained.

Event 10 - Modern Dancing
PRELIMINARY ROUND:
* Participants MUST choose ONLY 1 from 10 songs:
i. Only Girl (In The World) -Rihanna
ii. Dynamite -Taio Cruz
iii. Single Ladies -Beyonce
iv. Teenage Dream -Katy Perry
v. Just A Dream-Nelly
vi. OMG -Usher
vii. Confessions -Usher
viii. Sexy Chick -David Guetta
ix. Telephone -Lady Gaga
x. Black Or White -Michael Jackson
* Remix of the song is allowed
* Time limit: 1.5 – 2 mins
* Date of competition: 19th of February (Sat) [both Cat A & B]
* Time: 9.00 am - 12.00 pm
* Due Date for submission of CDs: 11th of February (Fri)
Judges judge based on impression:
If GREEN CARD is raised, participants will be qualified to next round.
If RED CARD is raised, participants will be eliminated.
At the end of this round, 10 teams will be left to continue to the quarter final. (number of qualified teams will be altered depending on the number of participants)
QUARTER-FINAL:
* Participants MUST perform a contemporary dance
* Time limit: 3 mins
* Date of competition: 30th (Wed) [Cat A] & 31st (Thurs) [Cat B] of March
* Time: 4.00 - 5.30 pm
* Due Date for submission of CDs: 23rd of March (Wed)
This is a non-elimination round, where the ONLY purpose of awarding marks is to place teams in ranking for the PK next round.
SEMI-FINAL:
* Participants battle among teams (PK format) with usage of props in 70% of their routine
* Time limit: 3 mins
* Date of competition: 3rd of May (Tues) [both Cat A & B]
* Time: 4.00 - 5.30 pm
* Due Date for submission of CDs: 26th of April (Tues)
The plan of the PK format will be drawn out AFTER the quarter final.
At the end of this round, 5 teams will be left to continue to the final. (number of qualified teams will be altered depending on the number of participants)
FINAL:
* Any style (Hip-hop, Breakdance, etc.)
* Time limit: 4 mins
* Date of competition: 29th (Wed) [Cat A] & 30th (Thurs) [Cat B] of June
* Due Date for submission of CDs: 22nd of June (Wed)
